ASI supports design education, serving on the board of the International Interior Design Association New York Chapter, the Retail Design Institute (RDI), and the Planning and Visual Education Partnership (PaVE) and as an affiliate member of The American Institutes of Architects (AIA) NY Chapter, and an AIA Continuing Education Passport Provider.

In addition, ASI is a member of The Hospitality Industry Network (NEWH), SHOP! Association, American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), National Wood Flooring Association, US Green Building Council (USGBC), and the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain-Of-Custody certification.
